Treasure Life Center- TLC
multipurpose sports center in the city suburb of Kamwokya has started taking shape. Construction works kicked
off in February this year with funding from the Kamwokya Christian Caring Center in partnership with Switzerland-based Foundation AMEROPA.
Apparently, most of the works on the indoor
stadium comprising a gym, sports arena and community hall are at a climax. Lawrence Mukiibi, the
Coordinator of the Youth Program at Kamwokya Christian Caring Center, says that they expect to complete the works in
February next year.
He says that once completed the facility
will host both
indoor and outdoor sporting activities
such as futsal, netball, basketball, and handball among others. The Shillings 4 billion multi-purpose sports facility is
intended to enable young talents to showcase their abilities in an organized

project will be under the management of Kamwokya Christian Caring Community, which will offer priority to vulnerable children in
Kamwokya at no cost. He says that since it is an
international sports facility, they will invite several professional sports federations to host
their games at the stadium.

Mukiibi also revealed that all causal laborers
used at the site were deliberately picked from Kamwokya as a way of engaging
them in the project directly.
