One person has collapsed and died in Kasese district while queuing to cast his vote.
Eye witnesses tell Uganda Radio Network that Allan Kasukutu, a businessman in Kinyamaseke town board collapsed after receiving the ballot paper for the presidential candidates.
Kasukutu was at Kinyamaseke A polling station in Munkunyu sub-county, Bukonzo East in Kasese district, when he fell down helplessly, the eye witness who preferred anonymity said.

The DPC says Kasukutu's body was then taken to Kagando hospital where a postmortem is being arranged to ascertain the cause of the death.
He says police has information that the deceased queued for a long time until he was issued with the ballot paper.
Some of the people who spoke to URN say Kasukutu has been battling both diabetes and high blood pressure.
Michael Kihokolo, a resident of Munkunyu sub-county described the deceased as an approachable businessman adding that his death is a blow to the community.
URN is yet to talk with the deceased's family to ascertain the burial arrangements.
Meanwhile, the voter turnout in Kasese district is high as most polling stations still had long lines by the time of filing this story, 30 minutes to closing time.
