According to Mayiga, security agencies need to use the same zeal they use to clump down on unwanted political activities to stop the murder of innocent Ugandans.
The Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga has wondered
why security agencies have failed to stop the murders in Greater Masaka Region even
when the assailants give notice of their intended attacks.
He says that
although security has arrested some of the suspects, there are many unanswered
questions lingering in the minds of Ugandans.

Machete-wielding gangs have killed more than 20 people in
Greater Masaka over the past six days.
According to Mayiga, security agencies need to use
the same zeal they use to clump down on unwanted political activities to stop
the murder of innocent Ugandans.

He made five requests to the government to resolve the
murders in Greater Masaka.

Mayiga was speaking at an event where Buganda
loyalists from different sub-counties in Bugerere County presented a cheque of
Shillings 5.4million to support kingdom activities.
In 2017 and 2018, several
people in Greater Masaka lost their lives in similar attacks buy machete-wielding
thugs.
The thugs would inform their victims of the impending attacks and would
make good their promises.
