The 300 police officers that were being passed out had been on a six month course at Gaddafi. The training involved aspect of counter terrorism, target shooting, aspects military skills and acrobatics.
Kayihura said many more such trainings will be conducted saying training is one of the top priorities under his administration.
He lamented the fact that some of his police officers cannot project authority when confronted by rioters. He said he was embarrassed to see some of his officers being manhandled by John Patrick Amama Mbabazi\'s security in Jinja.
