Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Football Club will be all out to win their 12th Premier League title this afternoon at the Philip Omondi Stadium.

The defending champions who have also qualified for the group stage of the CAF Total Confederations Cup face struggling Lweza FC in a game where they only need a draw to be declared Champions.

But with Lweza FC in 13th place on the log and fighting to stay in top flight football next season, the game promises to be a tough contest.

Head coach Mike Mutebi said they are taking the game very seriously because they are also using it to prepare for the CAF Total Confederation Cup game against FUS Rabat this weekend.

The home side will expect the return of Brian Majwega to lead the attack together with Geoffrey Sserunkuma and on-form Derrick Nsibambi.

Lweza FC coach Hamza Kalanzi said they are going to play the game like a Cup final because they badly need points. “We need to be at our best against KCCA FC,” added the coach. All eyes will be on Hassan Kikoyo to get the goals for Lweza FC, while Owen Kasule and Jeremiah Ssebuyira do the donkey work.

KCCA FC are top of the League with 57 points with 27 games played, while SC Villa are in second place with 52 points. While KCCA FC are chasing their 12th League title, SC Villa have won 16 titles since 1982.

The other games on card will see Vipers SC host Onduparaka FC at the St Marys Stadium. After failing to stop struggling Bright Stars FC last week by collecting one point, Vipers SC coach Miguel Da Costa has said they are all out to win their remaining games as they target second place on the log.

Express FC who are in sixth place will host Proline FC, while 12th placed Bidco FC battle Sadolin Paints FC. Fourth placed URA FC will face Police FC at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole and Soana FC travel to Bombo to battle The Saints FC.
