KCCA FC made a poor start to the CAF Total Confederations group stage with a 3-0 loss away to hosts FUS Rabat in Morocco on Sunday morning.

The home side dominated the match from the start to the end in-front of the few fans in the Stadium. After only seven minutes Brahim El Bahri gave FUS Rabat the lead when he slotted from close range after an earlier header had hit the post.

There was little KCCA FC goalkeeper Douglas Kisembo could do with the fine finish. The Ugandan League champions tried to play tight at the back, but FUS Rabat had lots of possession with good movement on the field.

KCCA FC' serious attack came from a free kick after 28 minutes but it was cleared out of danger. With three minutes to half time Gambian international Yusupha Njie made it 2-0 when the KCCA FC defenders failed to clear the ball out of danger.

In the second half KCCA FC coach Mike Hillary Mutebi brought the fresh legs of Ivan Ntege for Brian Majwega. Later KCCA FC defender Isaac Muleme's delivered a good cross for Geoffrey Sserukuma who was judged off-side after 62 minutes

Then two minutes later FUS Rabat's goalkeeper Aymane Majid blocked Muleme's well taken free kick. But it was the home side that kept pressing and were rewarded with another goal after 77 minutes when Njie delivered a cross that beat the defenders and Karim Benairif scored.

KCCA FC made more changes, but the home side continued to look for more goals. The Ugandan side will now hope to bounce back when they host Tunisia's Club Africain on May 24th at the Philip Omondi Stadium.
