KCCA FC lost 1-0 to Azam FC (Tanzania) on Friday in a semi final match at the 2015 on-going Cecafa Kagame Club Championship.

The Tanzanian side playing in-front of their fans at the National Stadium and handled by British coach Staurt Hall pinned KCCA FC for longer spells and scored in the second half.

Shah Farid Mussa scored the lone goal after 75 minutes. KCCA FC\'s lone striker Isaac Sserunkuma failed to find space past the Azam Fc defenders. He however wasted a great opportunity after 80 minutes when he failed to beat the Azam FC goalkeeper Manula Aishi Salum.

It was the second time Azam FC beat KCCA FC by the same margin in the same tournament after the two teams faced off in the Group stage. “We did not take our chances, but we played a good game,” said KCCA FC coach Mike Mutebi.

The second semi final match saw Kenya Premier League Champions Gor Mahia beat Al Khartoum (Sudan) 3-1.

The Sudan side handled by Kwesi Appiah who guided Ghana to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil saw his side take the lead through skipper Amin Ibrahim Elmani.

But Michael Olunga leveled matters with a penalty conversion after Domeic Abul handled. After recess Olunga turned provider for Innocent Wafula who made it 2-1. Ten minutes into the second half, Meddie Kagere made it 3-1.

KCCA FC will now face Al Khartoum in a play-off game on Sunday to determine who wins the UGX33 million for third place. The final game will also be played the same day with UGX99 million up for grabs and the runner-up UGX66 million.
