Uganda League Champions, KCCA FC have this afternoon arrived in Ismailia, Egypt ahead of a CAF Total Confederations Cup tie on Saturday.

David Tamale, told URN on phone that the team that left early Friday morning on an Egyptian Airlines flight arrived safely after taking another hour and thirty minutes on the road by bus from Cairo.

The team which is the only remaining Ugandan side in continental football this year after Vipers SC were ejected will have a feel of the Ismailia Stadium later tonight.

But before the team traveled coach Mike Mutebi said they are determined to play their brand of football which will see them make it to the group stage.

The tactician believes they need to stick to the way they have been playing because it has been yielding results. “We are not going to Egypt to defend the first leg score. We shall always play our way which is to use the ball smartly and create chances,” he added.

Mutebi explained that after failing to make it to the next stage of the CAF Total Champions League were they were ejected by reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns, they are determined to prove a point in this Cup. “We need to keep playing with the big teams in Africa and the best way is to qualify for the group stage,” he added.

Defenders Timothy Awany and Habib Kavuma who missed the first leg together with Muzamir Mutyaba who got injured in the first leg are all available for selection. The other team in the Cecafa region still in contention for a place in the group stage of the Confederation Cup is Young Africans of Tanzania.
