Kibaale Man Chops off Enstranged Wife’s Hand

Kibaale Police are hunting for a man accused of chopping off the hand of his estranged wife. The suspect is Tadeo Tumuhaise, a resident of Kaisobakara Village in Matale Sub-county.  

It is alleged that Tumuhaise who is at large waylaid his 22-year-old ex-wife Rosette Kyomuhangi on Tuesday night and chopped off her right hand using a machete.  She was rushed to Mubende hospital from where she was referred to Mulago National Referral Hospital for further management.      

The couple officially got married three years back but divorced two months ago for an unknown reason. Tumuhaise has been accusing Kyomuhangi of cheating on him with different mean.

Kyomuhangi’s father, Banada Bogere, says his daughter has always had a bitter relationship with Tumuhaise who kept on battering her time and again forcing her to run back home.

Esther Adeke, the Kibaale District Police Commander, says they commenced investigations into the matter as the hunt for the suspect is ongoing.
