A decomposing body of a yet-to-be-identified man has been found dumped in a bush in Kikuube. The body was
discovered in Kyamugobe village, Butoole parish in Kabwoya sub county. It was
discovered on Monday evening.
John Baguma, a resident
of Kyamugobe who discovered the body told Uganda Radio Network that as he went
to collect firewood on Monday evening, when he landed on the decomposing body in a
nearby bush. He immediately alerted area residents who rushed to the scene.
The
residents later informed Kabwoya police who too rushed to the scene.
Patrick Asiimwe, another
resident says the deceased person could have been killed from somewhere else
before the body was dumped in the area since he is not known to area residents.
Julius Hakiza, the
Albertine region police spokesperson has confirmed the incident adding that
police picked the body that was later conveyed to Kikuube health center IV
for postmortem.
