Several patients in need of x-ray services at Kitgum General Hospital are stranded following breakdown of the machine.

The Philips Primary Diagnost model x-ray machine reportedly broke down a month ago and has since never been repaired.

Bezy Omoya, the hospital senior administrator says that the digital x-ray machine broke down after malfunction of one of its important software.

He says the machine has been down for long because there are no experts within the region to repair it.

Omoya says although they informed the health ministry through Gulu Regional Hospital equipment workshop about the machine’s break down, they got to know the ministry hasn’t yet renewed signing memorandum of understanding with the supplier.
