KIU students to present HIV and AIDS findings Zambia

will represent their latest research finding on HIV and AIDS at a scientific conference that kicks off on July 1st in Lusaka Zambia.

Paul KIbenge and Ephraim Kisangala conducted their research on Non Communicable Diseases in HIV and AIDS patients at Ishaka Adventist Hospital in Bushenyi district.

 

The students told journalists in Bushenyi on Saturday that their research finding show that the burden of non communicable diseases is heavy especially in patients undergoing through the advanced stages of HIV and AIDS. Most patients were found with hypertension,  Peptic ulcers, Tuberclosis, diabetes and asthma.

The students will share there latest findings with scholars from East andSouthern Africa at a conference organized by University of ZambiaMedical Students’ Association.
