The construction of the two-storied building which is expected to cost approximately 4.5 billion shillings started with 600 million shillings from the transition fund which was given to the District to facilitate its operation.

of an administration block.

The multibillion administration block construction being
undertaken by Oryem-Can Co. Ltd will house a multipurpose Council Hall,
different administrative offices, statutory bodies, procurement and production
offices and the chairperson’s chambers among others.
Albina Awori, the Chief Administrative Officer of Kwania says
completion of the building will help to address the accommodation challenges
currently on ground.
Anthony Bazil Okello Onac, the Interim LCV Chairman says as a
District they have added an extra 200 million shillings from their budget which
will be used in the 2nd phase of the construction work.

Kwania district which was curved from Apac on the 1st July
2018 sits on over 20-acre piece of land at Wipolo, Ikwera Ward Aduku town
Council, the newly purposed district headquarters.
The creation of Kwania led to the displacement of Aduku Sub County
Head Quarters as the district temporarily occupied the mother sub-county
premises forcing the administrative unit to relocate and rent at Akot trading centre.
