Joseph Reno Opio, the Lamwo county Parliamentary candidate has pulled out of the Race.
Opio who has been standing on the Uganda Federal Alliance's ticket threw in his towel this morning.
Opio says that his decision to quit the race stems from inadequate logistical support from his party.
Opio who was also recently involved in a road accident, also claims that the damage on his teeth has rendered him weak, and is finding it difficult to stand up to the campaign challenges.
Opio who defected from DP to the Federal Alliance after failing the party primaries, also said pressure from elders from Lamwo compelled him to step down in favor of NRM\'s Eng Hilary Onek.
This is that first case of a candidate resigning from an elections race in northern Uganda.
