Protesters of walk to work campaign are to recieve free legal services in western uganda.
The opposition has set up a team of lawyers in Western Uganda o offer free legal services to people arrested in the walk to work protests. They are Wilfred Mulumba a Kabale based lawyer, Milton Matsiko and Innocent Kabigumira.
Mulumba says that his team started representing 22 people who were arrested last week in Rukungiri for participating in the walk to Work protests.
The suspects were arrested on April 14 while protesting the shooting of Kiiza Besigye, the FDC leader in Kampala. Mulumba says that all the suspects were charged in court with holding unlawful assembly and released on bond.

The legal team also advocated for 10 FDC supporters who were also detained in Mbarara in the same walk to work campaign. He says during in voluntary work they face a challenge of state intervening and blocking them.
Since the walk to work campaign began over 30 opposition members have been arrested in Western Uganda..
