Bernard Ocen, the Lira Municipal Procurement officer has died
after being involved in a motor accident in Lira town.
Ocen 37 passed on from Lira University teaching Hospital in Lira
district on Saturday. He was rushed to the facility on Friday night shortly
after he got involved in a motor accident around Jinja Camp trading Centre
along Juba road.
Ocen who was riding a motorcycle registration number UAV 113Y reportedly
knocked a parked trailer as he attempted to dodge an incoming vehicle.
The deceased was returning from Amazon pub to his home at
Obanga-Pewany village.
George Obia, the Lira District Police Commander says that the deceased
hit his head on the tarmac causing endless bleeding.
Samuel Ahabwe, Lira Municipal Town Clerk described the deceased as
a committed and social worker.
