Voter turn up remains low in the new district of Omoro, where residents are voting for the district chairman and Woman Member of Parliament.

More than 17,300 people registered to vote in the newly created district. However, the number of voters still falls far below the target in several polling stations.

By Noon, the most number of ballots cast was in Koro Abili P.7 School (B-Z) polling station where 140 of the 693 registered voters had cast their ballots.

Francis Obwona, a presiding officer at the station says they experienced a delay after the polling constable deployed at the station failed to show up. He says the station is now being manned by a crime preventer.
