and a resident of Morogoro in Tanzania are accused of attacking the home of the late Pastor Steven Mugambe home. Nine people lost their lives in the attack identified as Noeline Nalinya, Berna Nakivumbi, Jane Nakiwala, Christine Nasimbwa, Max Nakirijja, Dan Ssemwanga, Andrew Mpeirwe and Maria Nakajugo Musanya.
Presiding over the case in the court chambers, Masaka Grade One Magistrate Tadeo Muyinda committed the suspects on grounds that inquiries in the case were complete and committal papers had been prepared for the purpose of sending them to the High Court for trial.
The committal comes barely after a day when Masaka high court had for the second time dismissed Lwakataka\'s bail application after failing to satisfy court that he had grave illness.
Masaka High Court Judge Justice Margaret Oumo Oguli on Thursday dismissed Lwakataka\'s 42, bail applications on grounds that Lwakataka had failed to prove exceptional circumstances and the fact that his is charged with a capital offence of murder with nine counts.
Lwakataka\'s co accused Muddu and Fangesi have been on remand since June 2014 when they were remanded to Masaka Central prison.
Lwakataka who was clad in a checked shirt looked calm and composed as he appeared before the magistrate\'s chambers where the case he was whisked away by prison officers as soon as the case was heard.
Meanwhile, the suspects will have to wait a little bit longer for the case to be fixed for hearing in the next convenient trial session.
