The letter signed by the Secretary for Religious Affairs at Uganda Muslim Supreme Council Sheik Muhammad Murshid Luwemba indicates that a recent special Majilis Al-Ulama Meeting unanimously agreed that sheik Kibuule be appointed the district Kadhi.
Muslims in Lwengo district are celebrating the appointment of a
new district Khadi.
In a letter dated 21st May, Sheikh Ismail Ibrahim Kibuule who has been acting
Kadhi has been appointed as the new district Kadhi. He replaces the former
Kadhi, Sheikh Juma Muwesi who died last year.

“H.E the Mufti of Uganda Sheikh Shaban Ramathan Mubajje has directed that you
be appointed as District Khadi on one-year probation” the letter reads in part.
Sheikh Abdullah Juko, the Chairperson Lwengo Muslim District
Council has congratulated Kibuule upon his appointment wishing him a successful
tenure of office asking him to serve the Ummah and community at large
In March Lwengo muslin authorities submitted names of two
candidates to Uganda Muslim Supreme Council for consideration to fill up the
position of the district Kdahi. The candidates were Sheikh Umar Kigongo and
Sheikh Ismail Ibrahim Kibuule.
Sheik Kibuule has called upon the Muslim community to be united
since unity is a great pillar towards development. He also asked the imams at
various mosques in the district to always preach unity in their areas.
