Police at Kinoni in Lwengo district has arrested Pascal Lubega Ssalongo, the chairperson Kyetume Village, over the disappearance of his worker.

Lubega's arrest follows the disappearance of Joseph Matovu a herdsman at Lubega's farm who went missing on Monday.

Matovu's disappearance prompted a section of residents to report the matter to Kiseka police station accusing the village chairperson Lubega who is also a traditional healer of being behind the disappearance.

Agnes Namugenyi a resident says that they have been hearing rumours that Lubega practices human sacrifice. She says that it's unfortunate that a village chairperson who is supposed to be one of the custodians of the law at the village level is involved in breaking the law.

Lameck Kigozi, the Southern Region Police Spokesperson says that police raided Lubega's shrine and found two human skulls.

Kigozi also says that police is investigating allegations that Lubega was involved in the murder of one of his workers Maria Solome Nantongo whose body was found at a forest last month, days after she went missing.

Cue in:// “voices kept coming on….”

Cue out://” … two human skulls were recovered”.

Ssalongo Kayinga Kiggundu, the chairperson of traditional healers in Masaka region condemned Lubega's actions and asked the police to expedite the investigations into the matter.
