A man, who allegedly attempted to kidnap a school girl from Nyendo town in Masaka, was beaten into coma and only saved by police.
Yoweri Mugisha, purportedly a Rwandese national was beaten on Monday attracting police intervention. It took several shots in the air to burst the budding mob, which was threatening to kill the man.
Mugisha currently admitted at Masaka Referral Hospital allegedly waylaid a 16-year-old girl student of Notre Dame SSS in a futile attempt to kidnap her.

Kabiito says one of the students spotted Mugisha stripping the girl and caught and paraded him before the mob which beat and hurled stones at him before the police arrived to rescue him.
The Southern Region Police spokesperson, Noah Sserunjogi says Mugisha is lying in critical condition at Masaka hospital.
Police have recovered Mugisha’s handkerchief and a bottle filled with Chloroform. Serunjogi says these will be used as exhibits.
