Mubende
Police are holding a man accused of killing his wife over Shillings 20,000 accruing
from the sale of dry maize. The suspect
is Eron Nzabaniita, a resident of Katabalanga Village West Division in Mubende
Municipality in Mubende district.
He reportedly killed his wife, Noarita Nshimyemaana when she reportedly sold
off the maize worth Shillings 20,000 and declined to hand over the money. Nzabaniita ran into trouble when he
told his friends that he had killed his wife and tried to get away but was
apprehended by the residents.
Rachael Kawala, the Wamala Region Police spokesperson, says
that they are holding three suspects in connection to the incident. Kawala says
that Nzabaniita was moving in the trading center telling people that his wife
had succumbed to headache.
However, the residents were concerned when they went
to his home and found the deceased lying in a pool of blood.
