Masaka PWDs Leader Wanted for Selling Group Chairs

Police in Masaka are hunting for Rajab Kyebambe, the People With Disabilities (PWDs) leader, for illegally disposing of property belonging to the PWDs group in Nyendo, Masaka district.
Police in Masaka are hunting for Rajab Kyebambe, the People With Disabilities (PWDs) leader, for illegally disposing of property belonging to the PWDs group in Nyendo, Masaka district.

 

Kyebambe is not only the PWDs division representative but also a Nyendo Ssenyange division councillor.

 

He is wanted for allegedly selling plastic chairs that were donated to the PWDs by the National Union of People with Disabilities.

 

The chairs were intended to help PWDs in Nyendo generate income through hiring them out for social functions.

 

The officer-in-charge Nyendo Police Station Christine Namawuba, says that police has already recorded a statement from John Kiganda who is said to have bought the plastic chairs.

 

She says that preliminary investigations indicate that Kiganda bought PWDs chairs at 50,000 shillings.

 

Namawuba says that Police is hunting for Kyebambe to help them with investigations into the matter.
