Independent Presidential Candidate, Amama Mbabazi, has described the Police raid on his residence in Kololo and campaign headquarters in Nakasero as ridiculous.
Mbabazi was reacting to the police raid this morning, which saw the arrest of 25 people including his staff, security team, supporters and mobilisers.
He blamed the raid on the threats by the National Resistance Movement –NRM party presidential candidate Yoweri Museveni to arrest his supporters following clashes with NRM members in Ntungamo district last week.

Mbabazi asked Police to produce his supporters before courts of law, adding that he has resolved with his lawyers to apply a production warrant for his supporters.

Mbabazi also accused Electoral Commission of failing to assert itself to stop the ongoing injustices and intimidation of his supporters despite filing a number of complaints.

Poly Namaye, the Deputy Police spokesperson declined to comment on the arrest of Mbabazi\'s supporters saying they are attending the Police Council.
Jotham Taremwa says Mbabazi\'s lawyers wrote to the Commission complaining on the disruption of his rallies in Masaka and Mukono.
According to Taremwa, they invited Mbabazi\'s team, that of NRM and Police and asked each party to present its side of the story.
He says following the meeting, Electoral Commission issued a statement warning people against disrupting campaign meetings of lawfully nominated candidates.
