Mbarara City FC Signs Goal Keeper Ali Kimera

Ali Kimera who joined the club at undisclosed fee. He is the seventh signing for the club ahead of the maiden Premier League season for the Ankole lions. He joins other newly signed players among them Suwed Satugombo, Said Byekwaso, Francis Mustapha, Harishe Asuman Kihogo, Pistis Barenge and Fred Karanzi.

Mbarara City Football Club has today signed former Sports Club Villa goalkeeper Ali Kimera.

Kimera who joined the club at undisclosed fee. He is the seventh signing for the club ahead of the maiden Premier League season for the Ankole lions.

He joins other newly signed players among them Suwed Satugombo, Said Byekwaso, Francis Mustapha, Harishe Asuman Kihogo, Pistis Barenge and Fred Karanzi.

Kimera was part of the Uganda Cranes team that participated in the 2014 African Nations Championship (CHAN), a continental tournament for home-based players. Uganda did not go beyond the group stages.

Born on July 4th 1994, Kimera has played for Sports Club villa, Victoria University, The Saints, Kenya Revenue Authority, Kyemerine Sugar Football Club and Kano Pillars.

Mbarara City FC head coach Richard Makumbi says that the Ankole lions are strengthening themselves to roar ahead of the new season.
