IGG Arrests Mbarara High School Head teacher, Bursar

According to Munira, the school officials spend the money in disregard of the laid down procedures. They are expected to appear before the anti-corruption court anytime.
Benon Twinomujuni, the head teacher Mbarara High school and his bursar, Michael Namara are in police custody on the orders of the Inspectorate of Government.  

The duo was picked up on Wednesday and transferred to Kampala. Munira Ali, the Spokesperson of the Inspectorate of Government, says the duo is wanted for embezzlement, causing financial loss and abuse of office. 

They are accused of failing to account for Shillings 207 million. According to Munira, the school officials spend the money in disregard of the laid down procedures. They are expected to appear before the anti-corruption court anytime.

A source at the school says the duo was apprehended after holding a closed door meeting with officers from the Inspectorate of Government, which lasted for over three hours.
