Engineers from the Ministry of Works and Transport have inspected the wreckage of MV Templar boat that capsized last month killing 33 people.

The wreckage of the boat was three weeks ago retrieved underneath the lake by the Police Marine and UPDF teams and towed to the lake shore.

On Thursday, more than four engineers from the ministry of works and transport were seen inspecting the boat and taking measurements.

Henry Hategeka, one of the engineers from the ministry says that they wanted to know the width and length of the boat. He declined to comment further.

MV Templar capsized last month while ferrying dozens of revellers from Ggaba in Entebbe to K-palm beach in Mukono district for a party.

33 people are confirmed to have died while 27 others were rescued alive from the lake. At least 120 people are estimated to have been on the boat when it capsized.
