Miss Tourism West Nile Crowned

Laura Lebu a 22 years old student from Adjumani district was crowned Miss Tourism West Nile 2018. Lebu said that she will promote the tourism sites in West Nile.

A 22-year-old student from Adjumani district has been crowned Miss Tourism West Nile 2018.

Laura Lebu a student of Bachelor's Degree in Library and Information at Makerere University defeated six other contestants to the crown.

Sandra Alum a 24-year-old businesswoman from Pakwach district emerged first runners-up while Jacklyn Asibazuyo 20 years old from Arua district, a student from Makerere University was crowned second runners-up.

The colourful event held at Heritage courts Hotel, in Arua attracted hundreds of revellers who cheered the girls as they faced series of questions from the panel of judges. 

Lebu emerged the best following a question and answer session. Lebu said that she will promote the tourism sites in West Nile.

However, a section of revellers who braced the seven hour event shared different opinions about the organization of the contest.

Lebu will join other winners from the different regions across the country and contest for the Miss Tourism 2018 crown in October. 

This year's Miss Tourism edition is run under the theme “Let the Pearl Shine”.
