Shaban Kagoro, a relative to the deceased said the couple developed a misunderstanding on boxing day when Agonzibwa allegedly questioned why the wife had failed to cook the meat he had bought that day.
Residents of Kitumba-Kyakasiga in Bunyangabu
District cut down a banana plantation and destroyed a house belonging to Richard
Agonzibwa, a man suspected of killing his wife Brenda Nyakaisiki.
Shaban Kagoro, a relative to the deceased said the couple developed a
misunderstanding on boxing day when Agonzibwa allegedly questioned why the wife
had failed to cook the meat he had bought that day.
This later developed into a fight that left Nyakaisiki injured. However, it's alleged that Agonzibwa picked Nyakaisiki from the clinic where she had been admitted and took
her back home where he assaulted her until she died.
Kagoro says that Agonzibwa had on Monday attempted to beat up his mother and in-laws who were attending to Nyakaisiki.
