Sam Amooti Otada, the leader of Independent Members of Parliament says he is one of those excited about the decision by the former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi to contest for presidency.
//Cue in: “For me i am one of those excited……………
Cue out: …………..he is right nowâ€//
On June 15, Mbabazi publicly declared his presidential ambitions. And he would offer himself for election as NRM flag bearer and later presidential candidate.
The ex-premier is scheduled to start his nationwide consultative meetings starting with Mbale on July 9th. Otada who represents Kibanda County in parliament says Mbabazi\'s candidature will offer Ugandans an alternative from the ruling National Resistance Movement party.
//Cue in: “It will be very interesting………………..
Cue out: …...we simply continue voting,â€//
Otada however says he doesn\'t see Mbabazi going through the National Resistance Movement party central executive committee because some members have openly expressed their dislike for him.
He says should Amama chose to contest as an independent, the doors are open for him.
