Mukasa Declared DP’s Candidate for Katabi Town Council LC 3 Chairperson

DP will also hold primaries for various positions in Entebbe Municipality later today at Kigungu, Kiwafu and Nakiwogo polling stations.
Robert Mukasa has been declared the Democratic Party candidate for Katabi town Council LC 3 chairperson’s city in Entebbe Municipality. He was declared elected after defeating his rival Lameck Kasujju in a primary election held at the DP offices at Kitala in Katabi Town Council.  

He polled 34 votes against Kasujja’s 12 votes. Mukasa is the incumbent Kabale Cell LC I chairperson and DP Mobilizer in Katabi Town Council.  In 2016, Mukasa contested for the same position and lost to Ronald Kalema, who has since joined the National Unity Platform party.  

The meeting also elected candidates for the positions for Elderly, Youth and Women among others. Regina Nakanwagi defeated the incumbent, Annet Nagitta for the position of LC 5 Woman councilor.   

Suleiman Bbos sailed through unopposed for the position of candidate Kabale ward LC 5 Councilor. DP will also hold primaries for various positions in Entebbe Municipality later today at Kigungu, Kiwafu and Nakiwogo polling stations.

The most competitive race is between Andrew Wani and Frank Bayo for the position of Division A chairperson slot.
