Muslims Urged To Seek Wealth

The Mbarara District Khadi Sheikh Abdallah Mukwaya has called on Muslims to invest in income-generating projects and education to enable them to continue to offer critical expertise to national development.

Sheikh Mukwaya said by embracing formal education, Muslim children would be allowed to rise to the highest levels of their calling. 

Speaking today at Abubaker Mosque in Mbarara City to mark Eid-El Fitiri celebrations, Mukwaya noted that Education and business are key to a successful living.

Hon Mwine Mpaka, the Mbarara City South Member of Parliament commended the Muslim community for positively contributing towards the development of the country especially in the areas of education and health.

He said the days of fasting were to renew faith and hope for the Muslim community and the country at large.

Hajji Rashid Mukasa the Chairperson of Mbarara Muslim district asked appreciated the Muslims for generously contributing towards the construction of the Muslim Mall which stands at 95% completion. 

He re-echoed the Khadhi’s message of educating children.

Hadija Shamim, a Muslim, said the Khadhi’s message was good for the Muslims who have not bothered to participate in government programs aiming at economic development.
