Nuhu Yunus, one of the residents, says it all started in 2017 when stones started falling on the roof of their house until June this year when the mysterious fires started.
A mysterious fire has gutted six homes belonging to members of
the same family in Kiwumbile Zone in Doko Parish in Namabasa Sub County in
Mbale district.
The fire is said to have started from one of the homes around
9am on Monday and spread to others homes.
According to residents, every evening stones fall on their houses,
which force them to abandon their homes.

He says the
fire even catches the few items they have managed to rescue from the houses,
which has perplexed them.

Hussein Kawiso, one of the affected people, says they are
worried about the mystery fires.

He says they have decided to abandon their homes for fear of
their dear lives. Hakim Malelo, the chairperson Chema clan, says they lost two
children a few weeks ago under clear circumstances.
He says
they are confused about the source of the fire, which has destroyed property
and appears to affect people from the same family.
