The Luweero district LC 5 chairman and district security committee have sharply disagreed  over eviction of suspected cult followers.

Recently Abdul Nadduli the Luweero LC 5 chairman raided Sinalya Hill in Nyimbwa Sub County and ordered for burning of huts belonging to God\'s Power Revival Ministries.

Nadduli says that God\'s Power Revival Ministries had collected over 30 children from various parts of the country and were being housed in huts under poor living conditions.

Nadduli claims the ministry is a cover for training children to become rebels. Nadduli has given the ministry administrators seven days to vacate the hill or he will mobilize residents to drive them out.

Nadduli is backed by residents lead by George Nkuubi who the believes the sect is a cult because the children are not allowed to seek treatment when they fall sick and they are starved.

They also challenge a well decorated road which the sect leaders claim it is taking people to heaven yet its stop in mere bushes.

Other residents led by Muhamadi Sseguya accuses the group of allegedly killing the children in training and bury them inside the place. However this URN Reporter couldn\'t verify the allegations.

The residents want the group to vacate the hill with immediate and be investigated.

However the leader of the God\'s Power Revival Ministries who identified himself as Salongo Lule described the allegations as baseless and an attempt to grab their land.

He insists their activities are guided by a Bible scripture Ephesian 4:1-26 that states \"As a prisoner for the Lord, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received\".

But the Luweero district security committee members comprising of Resident District Commissioner Persis Namuganza, Police Commander Eugene Elwaru and Internal Security Officer Bob Ssemakula described Nadduli actions as illegal and blocked eviction of the group.

Persis Namuganza, the Luweero Deputy Resident Commissioner, says that they have visited the group and found no activity that can be linked to rebellion.

Namuganza also insisted that the group had right to worship and no person can evict them unless there is a court order.

Luweero district is also battling with hundreds of people who subscribe to a cult locally known as \"Abajiiri\". The cult followers reject everything that is modern that includes education, medical treatment and use of fertilizers among other things.
