Namisindwa police have recovered a stolen magazine containing 30 rounds of live ammunition. The recovery was made on February 8, 2025, by Sergeant Bosco Okok, the officer in charge of the Bukhabusi police post in Namisindwa District.

Namara says that upon discovering the magazine, Sergeant Bosco reported the incident to the Officer in Charge of CID, Namisindwa, D/ASP Amos Okoboi.
A team of detectives, including a Crime Scene Officer, was dispatched to the scene, where they recovered the magazine with 30 rounds of live ammunition. The recovered magazine has been exhibited and is pending submission to ballistic experts for further analysis. A suspect is currently in custody, and inquiries are ongoing.
This development marks a significant milestone in the investigation, and the police are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in the probe. Rogers Taitika, the Elgon region police spokesperson, confirmed the incident on Tuesday, stating that police officer Bosco Okok was punished, although he did not reveal the details of the punishment.
