Voters in Namutumba want the FDC presidential candidate, Kizza Besigye to improve the road network and extend piped water services to the district, once he is elected.

John Kinyiri, a resident of Kibaale village in Kibaale Sub County told URN in Namutumba town council that despite supporting the ruling NRM government, the party has neglected their area.
According to Kinyiri, residents from his area find a huge challenge to transport their produce to markets in Namutumba and Iganga town markets due to impassable roads. The common means of transport in the sub county are Lorries and pickup trucks, which can't withstand the poor roads. He lists some of priority issues he wants Besigye to address.

The trucks often break down while transporting produce to markets in Namutumba and Iganga districts. Sarah Katali, a resident of Nsinze village in Nsinze Sub County, says there is need to extend piped water and sink more boreholes in the district to provide residents with clean safe water.
According to Katali, this will help residents to live better lives. 41-year-old Simon Mkaayi, a resident of Namutumba town council wants Dr. Besigye to prioritise working on the poor road network in the district once he is voted in.
Mkaayi says traders and farmers in the district are hardworking, but their lives have remained miserable because of bad roads.
