The security heads in Kasese District have assured the electorate that there is no room for non Ugandans to infiltrate into the boarder district to participate in the Presidential and Parliamentary elections on Thursday (today).
The Kasese RDC Lt. Joe Walusimbi said on Wednesday that there is no known non-Ugandan that is in the district with the purpose of participating in the voting exercise.
The RDC was responding to questions from the general public that some Congolese from the Democratic Republic of Congo - DRC were allegedly in the country to vote for certain candidates.
Walusimbi says they have heightened security to deal with any person who would be involved in any act of vote rigging.

The Rwenzori East RPC Samuel Asiimwe warned those with plans to disrupt the exercise that they will be dealt with. He said there were no foreigners allowed in the district with intention to participate in the voting exercise.
He also called upon all voters and candidates to adhere to the guidelines issued by the electoral commission.

Political candidates in Bukonzo West county that neighbours DR Congo have accused each other of ferrying Congolese to vote for them.
Mpondwe/Lhubiriha which boarders with DR Congo has 31546 votes expected to cast their votes in around 50 polling stations. The neighbouring town of Bwera has 10955 registered voters.
