Uganda Artistes under their umbrella Northern Entertainment Association have criticized singer Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleone for staging
illegal shows in Gulu City, something they said violated the standard operating
procedures put in place to curb down the spread of COVID -19 infections.
On
Tuesday night, police dispersed hundreds of revelers from Terminal Hangout in
Pece –Laroo Division in Gulu City where the singer had staged an illegal show
past curfew time. The crowd including the singer violated all the SOPs.

less than one week and that police should take immediate action against him to deter
others from perpetrating the vice.

Police on Wednesday revealed that they have opened a general inquiry file to
investigate the circumstance under which the singer staged illegal shows under
the watch of security force.But when contacted for an update of the investigation,
David Mudong Ongom, the Aswa River Region Police Spokesperson declined to disclose
any development in that regard.
