Voting at most polling stations across the country started late, because of delayed delivery of voting materials.
Opondo also confirmed the postponement of primary elections in four districts.
He says elections in the districts of Wakiso, Namutumba, Lwengo and Kiruhura have been called off for a number of reasons including misspelt aspirants\' names, missing names on ballot papers, wrong ballot papers delivered and police connivance with some candidates.

Elections in Wakiso district were postponed because the ballot papers indicated that the Wakiso district Woman MP Rosemary Sseninde had a competitor, yet she is unopposed.
In Namutumba, the process was halted because the name of the sitting, MP Wilson Mpongo was misspelt on the ballot paper.
Elections in the above three districts have been postponed to Wednesday.
Kiruhuru district primaries were halted after the Nyabushozi MP aspirant, Michael Nyamuguri Kananura died in a motor accident two days back. The NRM will now start a fresh nomination process.

Opondo attributed all the chaos in the party primaries to mistakes made by the party\'s electoral commission.
