NRM Big wigs have begged president Museveni to allow them to start early Campaigns for the upcoming Parliamentary by-elections in Arua Municipality.

NRM Vice Chairman for northern region Sam Engola made the request during the burial of the slain Arua Municipality MP Ibrahim Abiriga and his brother Saidi Butele Kongo.  Engola noted that often,  late campaigns cost the ruling party.

He expressed worry that even before the late Abiriga's body was laid to rest, the opposition was already campaigning for a by-election.

Cue out….  for all of us."//

But according to some of the leaders in Arua and West Nile, beginning to campaign even before the late Abiriga is buried shows sign of witch-hunting, which must be condemned.

Cue out…..he has gone."//

On Saturday, several elderly persons expressed anger at the manner in which a renowned NRM supporter like Abiriga would suffer a gruesome death. They also warned that Abiriga' s death could spell doom for the future of  NRM in Arua and West Nile if the killers are not brought to book.
