There was a fist fight between National Resistance Movement party members in Kotido district on Wednesday over the distribution of Presidential Candidate Yoweri Museveni\'s campaign cash.

The fist fight broke out between the Nakapelimoru Sub County NRM Chairperson Phillip Akonya and the Male district youth representative John Nakade Komiang at around 4 PM.

The fight stemmed from disagreements over accountability of the 1 million shillings meant for mobilisation prior to Museveni\'s visit to the district on Wednesday. It all started after John Nakade Komiang dismissed the accountability given by Akonya and accused him of swindling the mobilisation money.

This prompted James Look, the Nakapelimoru Sub County NRM Vice Chairperson who was in the company of Akonya to charge at Komiang leading to a fist fight.

It took the intervention of the party members from Entebbe Area Ward in Kotido Town where, Akonya had booked local brew worth 600, 000 Shillings for Museveni\'s supporters from Nakapelimoru Sub County to separate the duo.

Komiang accuses the two party officials of swindling part of the money meant to facilitate the party members to Museveni\'s rally.

// Cue in: ‘‘somebody fought me……..

Cue out: .. only to address the issue of president\'s visit”//

Peter Abrahams Lokii, the Kotido District NRM party chairperson who also doubles as the Jie County MP regretted the incident saying it showed how the two leaders failed to provide good leadership.

Lokii explains that the NRM party secretariat distributed 1 million Shillings to each Sub county in Kotido district to cater for food and drinks for the people who attended Museveni\'s rally.
