NUP Supporters Blocked from Accesing Kakyeeka Stadium to Attend Manifesto Launch

The supporters chanting and dancing have blocked and access roads to the Stadium have also be blocked by Police. NUP supporters who tried to access the venue as early as 9:00 am were taken by surprise to find mounted road blocks from both sides of the road.
The Rwizi region police commander engages the NUP supporter to give way from the blocked road.

Thousands of National Unity platform (NUP) supporters have been blocked from accessing Kakyeeka stadium, the venue for the party's manifesto launch.

The supporters chanting and dancing have blocked and access roads to the Stadium have also be blocked by Police. NUP supporters who tried to access the  venue as early as 9:00 am were taken by surprise to find mounted road blocks from both sides of the road.

The venue is highly restricted and there is heavy deployment of both police and the army.

Abas Byakagaba, the Zonal Commander Ankole-Kigezi is busy ordering the NUP supporters to remove their red caps.

There is more deployment of the Anti riot police every two hours at the venue.
