In Mukono, the former Member of Parliament for Mukono North and South constituency Rev Dr Peter Bakaluba Mukasa was declared the winner with 73,815 votes. Mukasa who contested on the NUP party ticket defeated the NRM party candidate Haji Harunah Ssemakula with 25,202 votes.

Chairperson seats in Kayunga, Mukono and Buikwe to the National Unity
Platform- NUP.
In Mukono, the former Member of Parliament for Mukono North and South
constituency Rev Dr Peter Bakaluba Mukasa was declared the winner with 73,815 votes.
Mukasa who contested on the NUP party ticket defeated the NRM party candidate
Haji Harunah Ssemakula with 25,202 votes. Others are Godfrey Kiyega Musisi
1,681, Nicholas Mugwanya 583, and Peter Nsubuga 1,008.
Bakaluba says his leadership will focus on improving people’s standards of
living, poor road infrastructure, and distribution of water and completion of
the district administrative block among others.

In Kayunga, Muhammad Ffefeka Sserubogo of NUP was declared the winner with 27,878
votes.
Andrew Muwonge of the NRM got 12,658 votes, Thomas Sserundi
Mulondo 2345, Joseph Ouma of DP got 3,277 while independent candidates Steven
Watala Dagada and Fred Ssemyalo polled 5511 and 889 respectively.
In Buikwe Jimmy Kanaabi for FDC was declared the winner with 39,462 votes
beating Mathias Kigongo of NRM who got 20,586 votes followed by Anthony Harris
Mukasa with 2,898 and Major David Kibirango 2,103, all independent candidates.
However, the NRM only retained the Buvuma District LCV seat. Adrian
Ddungu who took over the card from incumbent chairperson Alex Mabirizi went
through an opposed.
