Dr. Dan Gatare, the Health center IV incharge said the funds will be used to renovate the OPD and laboratory, completion of immunization shelter, construction of an incinerator among others.
The government
has allocated 25 million Shillings for the renovation of Nyamirami Health
Center IV in Muhokya Sub-County Kasese District.
The money
follows calls from the administrators of the health center and leaders highlighting
the dilapidated structures at the health facility that required renovation to
function effectively.
Dr. Dan
Gatare, the Health Center IV in-charge said the funds will be used to renovate
the OPD and laboratory, completion of immunization shelter, and construction of an
incinerator among others.
He noted
that once facility structures are improved it will enable them to deliver quality
services.
John Kimadi,
the Chairperson Management Committee Nyamirami Health Center called all
stakeholders including community members to supervise the works.
However, he
appealed to the government to improve the medical supplies for the facility
arguing that it is serving an increasing population.
Construction works have been handed to Nelco
Construction Company Limited.
