The sorry state of Moroto road has irked Omoro District residents. The 70 kilometer road stretch connects Omoro to the neighboring Gulu districts.

It also runs to Pader, Agago, Abim, Moroto and Lira. However, the road is increasingly becoming impassible with the onset of torrential rains.

Currently, road users whether on foot, bicycle or any other automobile spend significant amount of hours traveling because of pot holes resulting from lack of maintenance.

Jolly Joe Rackara, a concerned resident says the road is a major motorway that links the district to Lalogi Health Center IV and the defunct Hope for Humans diagnostic center that was home to over 3,000 victims of the nodding syndrome.
