BUL FC has defeated Onduparaka FC by three goals to one during their home game played at the Jinja-based Kyabazinga Stadium on Saturday.

BULFC’s goals were scored by Deogratius Ojok in the 15th minute, while Joseph Semujju who was fouled in the 18-yard box scored their second goal through a penalty in the 45th minute. Simon Oketch, a second-half substitute scored the third goal in the 74th minute of the game.

Meanwhile, Onduparaka’s Living Kabong earned a goal for his side in the 83rd minute of the game. The teams' head coach, Joseph Mutyaba conceded defeat but blamed the loss on poor match officiating by the referees whom he faults for awarding undeserving advantages to his opponents. He however hastens to add that his team played their best in the absence of six senior players, who were unable to feature in this game over injury-related challenges.

“The game was good and unfortunately for the two stupid goals, I will blame my team but, the second goal, no, if these referees were to be fair to all teams and the supporters of the game alike, then, some of these anomalies that exhibit injustice would never be tolerated on the pitch,” he says.

BULFC’s head coach, Alex Isabirye stresses that although they won this game, the boys missed several opportunities which isn’t healthy for his side, as they have to score more goals and narrow the gap created by over conceding many goals in their earlier games played in the league.

Isabirye further says that he plans to reorganize the defence and striking lines ahead of his Uganda cup game on Tuesday next week.
