Uganda Premier League side, Onduparaka FC and Zawadi Bus Services have signed a one-year sponsorship deal to support the Caterpillars Team.

The agreement was signed on Friday at the Heritage Courts Hotel in Arua town. According to some of the details of the agreement,  Onduparaka FC players and officials will travel for official matches and activities for free in the comfort of  Zawadi Bus.

While unveiling the deal, Simon Amajuru, the Managing Director Zawadi Services explained that the uniting factor of Onduparaka FC for the West Nile region is a key factor for their partnership.

According to him, the fans of Onduparaka are the real sponsors of the deal by way of buying tickets and traveling with Zawadi bus services.

// Cue in; I look at Onduparaka… Cue out; Onduparaka football club…. //

Meanwhile Benjamin Nyakuni, the Chairman Onduparaka FC said the deal between Onduparaka and Zawadi is an opportunity for the people of West Nile to make/build and consume their own products,   // Cue in; Zawadi is the first…

Cue out; buy and consume it. //

Mercy Munduru, the head of marketing and sponsorship for Onduparaka FC welcomed the deal saying it’s a huge relief of financial burden on the Club in terms of travel expenses.

// Cue in; It’s the very first… Cue out; financial burden. //

Adams Lematia, the Spokesperson for Onduparaka FC said it has always been Onduparaka’s dream to partner with local business entities and they are glad that Zawadi Services has accorded them that dream.

“This sponsorship is timely considering that transportation has been a key challenge for the Club with each away game costing about UGX 2,400,000 return trip and yet the Club spends about UGX 67,200,000 on transport alone per season,” he added.

The Partnership will run from October 18, 2019 to October 18, 2020 with a possibility of renewal.
