Some legislators from the Opposition in Parliament have demanded that an independent inquiry into the death of Gen. Aronda Nyakairima, former Internal Affairs minister is conducted.

Shadow Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Medard Ssegona says the circumstances under which Aronda died are still unknown and have caused speculation among the population.

Ssegona says it would be unwise for government to ignore accusations by a section of the public, pointing fingers at it for having a hand in the Minister\'s death.

He proposes that through an independent inquiry, the actual cause of death should be established and put to rest any more speculation.
