Oyam Man On the Run for Murder

A man in Omoro district is on the run for allegedly killing his lover.

Peter Olwa, a resident of Oyam district is suspected of killing 45-year-old Lilly Akot, a resident of Labworomor Village in Paidongo parish in Bobi Sub County.

Patrick Jimmy Okema, the Aswa River Police spokesperson says Akot was found hacked to death in her house at about 11 pm on Sunday night. He says Olwa is the prime suspect after being in relationship with the deceased for a long time.

Okema says the matter is being investigated under CRB 735 /2018 at Omoro Central Police station.

Police detectives who visited the scene conducted a post-mortem which revealed that the deceased died in a brawl with the suspect.

It is not the first time that such incident is recorded in Omoro district this year. In August, a man hanged himself after killing his wife.
