Festo Okidi was arrested on Friday following a tip-off from residents who saw Okidi offload the items at his home.

The LCV Chairperson Pader, Godfrey Largo Oringa says the food relief items were part of the donations solicited from the public and well-wishers by the district COVID-19 taskforce for vulnerable members of the community.

According to Oringa; the district COVID-19 task force had last week resolved to distribute food relief to families affected by nodding disease syndrome.

The Pader Resident District Commissioner Dusman Okee says the suspect reportedly received food relief last week for distribution to the nodding affected families but to his dismay, the donation didn’t reach the intended beneficiaries.
